Platinum Investment Bond
The Platinum Investment Bond (Bond) is an investment vehicle that offers unique tax advantages not available through many other savings and investment products. The Bond is a collaboration between Platinum Asset Management, the manager responsible for the investments of the Bond and Australian Unity, who is responsible for the administration and client servicing of the Bond.
The Bond provides two investment options, the Platinum International Fund established in 1995 and the Platinum Asia Fund established in 2003.

Platinum Investment Bond - Asia Fund
The underlying Fund primarily invests in listed securities of Asian companies. Asian companies may list their securities on securities exchanges other than those in Asia and the Fund may invest in those securities. The Fund may invest in companies not listed in Asia but where their predominant business is conducted in Asia. The Fund may invest in companies that benefit from exposure to the Asian economic region.
The Portfolio will ideally consist of 50 to 100 securities that Platinum believes to be undervalued by the market. Cash may be held when undervalued securities cannot be found. Platinum may short sell securities that it considers overvalued. The Portfolio will typically have 50% or more net equity exposure.
Offshore Funds
Platinum Investment Management Limited (Platinum) is the investment manager or investment adviser for a number of offshore investment vehicles that are established or incorporated in countries outside of Australia. These investment vehicles cater to certain qualified investors, have not been registered for sale in Australia or New Zealand, and are not available to any person in Australia who is a retail client within the meaning of section 761G of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

The fund is a sub-fund of Platinum World Portfolios PLC, an Irish-domiciled Undertaking for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) and an umbrella fund with segregated liability between sub-funds, established as an open-ended investment company with variable capital.
It seeks to provide capital growth over the long-term (generally 5 to 7 years) by investing in undervalued securities of companies in the Asia ex-Japan region.
