Joanne joined Platinum in 2016 and heads up Platinum’s legal, compliance, risk and corporate governance functions. Joanne also serves as the Company Secretary for Platinum and its subsidiary entities including the ASX listed investment companies, Platinum Asia Investments Limited and Platinum Capital Limited. She is an English qualified solicitor with over 27 years of experience working for listed global asset management and banking institutions, across Asia Pacific and the UK.
Prior to joining Platinum, Joanne spent six years at BNP Paribas in the role of Head of Legal Affairs, Asia Pacific where she covered asset servicing, corporate trustee, global markets, and custody and clearing business lines, across seven countries. Joanne was previously Senior Legal Counsel at Russell Investments in Australia and prior to that was based in the UK where she held senior legal and compliance roles with Aviva Investors, Lord Abbett and Morgan Grenfell. She also served as the General Counsel for the Investment Association, the UK industry body for asset management.
